When George first arrived with us in August 2022, he was a very scared boy. Meeting new people was a terrifying experience for him, and he often tried to hide from them.
George was adopted in September of the same year, but he struggled with his confidence and making new friends. Sadly, George found himself back in our care after only a short time in a home.
With lots of love, patience, and dedication from our carers, George slowly gained his confidence. We began to see the cheeky boy he truly is and discovered just how much he loves to play with his toys!
He also brushed up on his social skills and began making doggy friends around the centre. With time, George absolutely blossomed.
After two years of being a very patient boy, George met somebody special. Victoria visited George every day to earn his trust and build a relationship with him. The way to George’s heart is snacks, so Victoria and his carers did lots of confidence building with snuffle mats and tasty treats, as well as lots and lots of playtime!
Soon it was time for George to say goodbye to all the friends he’d made at Dogs Trust Kenilworth and take his first steps on a big adventure – going to his forever home for the first time! George wasted no time exploring, zooming around his new garden before putting his paws up and making himself at home.
